Do you work at a nonprofit? If so, we need your help.
The Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy together with Marc Pitman, CEO of The Concord Leadership Group, want to study the relationship between the leadership styles favored by nonprofit leaders and the number of desirable outcomes, such as a thriving culture of philanthropy.
We are proud to sponsor this survey alongside Bloomerang and Donor Search. Here is an important statistic to think about; 61% of CEOs are not getting evaluated by their board and 42% of nonprofits do not have formal evaluation systems for any of their staff. Best practices need to be established and adopted by all nonprofits.
If you're in a leadership role (Director of Development, CEO, COO, Team Leader, etc) can you spare 14 minutes (yes they’ve timed it!) to complete their survey? As a special thank-you, you will receive an advance copy of the study as soon as it’s completed.

In case you aren’t convinced yet, here’s what our friends at Bloomerang have to say about it…
“The Nonprofit Sector Leadership Study is an outstanding report on the state of leadership at all levels in organizations. It is the type of research our sector has been needing for decades. Full of powerful ideas, every CEO and board should read this report. More importantly, they should work to implement the recommendations suggested by the research. Insecure leadership is harming nonprofits, this study holds the keys to help leaders rebuild confidence, within their teams and with their communities. Just think what that could mean for your organization’s mission!”– Jay Love, Chief Engagement Officer of Bloomerang.
The Concord Leadership Group offers executive coaching, board and staff leadership training, and extended group coaching so that CEOs and executive directors don’t lead alone.
